I just bought CC a few days ago and I really want to start making my own actors. I'm a whiz with ms paint so shading isn't going to be a problem.

The problem is I don't know what I need to do. I tried looking it up on the forums and I guess there were a few threads talking about modding and whatnot.. But, I didn't understand any of it. Like, where to put the codes and such.. I don't know. I'm no good with coding.

I'm completely lost.. can someone point me in the right direction?

If you look in Coalition.rte/Actors/Soldier/Soldier.ini, that contains all the necessary code for an actor. Copy the file, change all the PresetNames and the Description of the AHuman, then change all the FilePaths to reflect your new .rte. This is all explained on the wiki in general terms, in the first couple tiles on the left.

I totally get where you are coming from!
Something that can help a lot are modding templates. These come with the code already in there, ready for you to mess with!
As for coding, practice makes perfect, but here is something to get started.

crazymlc I checked out that guide and it was pretty helpful up to the part where I had to find promgrounds.rte

it's not in my cc folder.

do I have to reinstall or dl this file somewhere?

That's from an older build. It no longer exists.
