This is the Acronym Dump. Post an acronym and what is spells out to, or post the acronym and ask for suggestions. Some might inspire mod makers to create wonderful things. Examples: Accuracy Interface Manager AIM (Could be an AI add-on.) Command Broadcaster COMB (Could be a system where you set it to a mode like sentry and it sets all your units to that mode.) ASCII Active Situational Combat Interloper Interface (Security system.) Alive & Standing Counter: Intelligent Interface (A counter telling you how many actors are alive to the moment.) I'm not sure if this is a bad thread or not, but I got the idea from the IRC. Which probably means its a bad idea. But whatever. |

i kind of like this. some of those are making me think more abstractly about modding than i usually would. a contribution or two: ATCR Aiming-Transmission Corrupting Radiation a module or bomb that screws with nearby units aim. FEMMD Fire Extracted Mechanical Memory Data a module that tracks the movement of all actors in frames, but only draws the path a unit has taken once the unit walks through the module, at which point the unit is incinerated. should be handy once FOW is implemented. VAGINA Virtualised Anti-Ground Injected Neural Agent nonsense weapon, could make the unit shoot at the ground, could make it get repelled by terrain. just felt the need to be immature. |

BOMB: Big Ordnance, Malfunctioning Brain a type of situation you'd either would or wouldn't like to see. SOS: Security Officer's Station like the types that first come under attack, in all kinds of bases. QWERTY: Quantum Wavelength Emitter, Radial Transmission Ypsilon the superweapon that'll cause insta-gibbing of all actors in the battlefield, erasing all terrain, making micemeat of all the gibs, lags horrendously, crashes your computer, and eats your motherboard while it's at it. What does it look like? THOR Threatening Organism or Thorium-enriched Hydrargyrum Oxidizing Radiator. I am perfectly aware that last one does not make any sense at all from a scientific point of view. Don't bother pointing it out. |
