[WIP] XCom noob mod
Hi, (This is just sprites so far, so I don't know if I can call it a mod, but I didn't know where to post, tell me if I'm wrong...) I've seen in the gaming forum that Alenth Eneil was playing XCOM, Since I like this game very much, and since I wanted to try my hands at some modding, I started an XCom mod, so far I only did the sprites for the pistol, the rifle and a trooper (that's pretty much nothing but I'm happy making my little mod )...(and I started the skyranger) : There's a little pixel bug at the bottom of the legs of the soldier, but I think I know why so I will correct that soon. Then I'll try with plasma guns and aliens and so on... (and then with code ) If you have any comments or critics, let me know. Bye.

I mean, I don't know about great--but its certainly not trash at all. The only thing that bothers me is that everything looks too symmetrical and cylindrical, yet two-dimensional.

The actor looks great, though I've never played the original XCom for comparison. The plane... thing looks kinda bad right now, though. Oh yeah, and I think the DL link is missing. Please post it. I really want to try this out. EDIT: I just read the bit about this being just sprites. I assume that's the reason for the lack of DL link.

Looking good so far. Given that X-Com armor is kind of cylindrical, it actually pretty close to the source. I've got a bunch of X-Com sprites and UFO-pedia images if you need more source material as well as several sound effect compilations that could be broken down into individual sound effects if desired.
