Spriting problem
Ok, I'm working on a mod, and I created a gun sprite. I sued a transparant background, and it looks fine when I face right, but if I face left, orange pixels appear over the gun image. Does anyone have any idea how to fix it? I use Gimp as my image program, and I'm using the cc full pallette

Re: Spriting problem
You'd probably have to link the sprites for us to have any idea of what you're talking about. Also, CC doesn't have alpha levels for transparency. Pink or "True purple" (Full 255 Red and Blue, 0 Green) is the color used for CC transparency.

Re: Spriting problem
You must save with the sprite flattened and the true purple he mentioned as your background. Also, make sure when you set the image to indexed that you do not trim the colormap to used colors only. You have to have the whole palette in the colormap, in the correct order.

Re: Spriting problem
Well, first off, for some reason, that true purple thing made it take a transparent chunk out of the game, like whatever was inside the transparent part of the image was just invisible, along with that part. here's the sprite.
edit: ermmm...how would I use the full colormap thing instead of just the ones I used?

Re: Spriting problem
Ah, I see what the problem is. You were using the correct colors, but your image was not indexed. Follow the tiny font instructions in this post.

Re: Spriting problem
Thanks, that worked like a charm. Now, time to make another gun, lol.
