Mary envies my children.
Sup guise. After playing with some mods, I wanted to sprite. I readed some tuts over the internet, and after having over 9000 hours in MSPaint, I came up with this. So here is the question, like the all other sprites, can this be splitted to parts and added as a person? Thanks. PS: If it is, can you help me with the code? thanks again.

Re: Mary envies my children.
No, it cannot. You need to sprite individual pieces by themselves

Yeah, that's what I meant. I mean, This is the base, but if I take parts from this and edit them as individual parts, it would be all right?

Re: Mary envies my children.
Also, vanilla sprites aren't directly side-on, you can see a bit of their front and a bit of side.

Re: Mary envies my children.
The profile perspective of the sprites is altered by appendage offsets. I am p sure the sprites are still made in profile.

Study CC's vanilla content (see: prom's sprites) to get a better understanding of the style.

Re: Mary envies my children.
What you have right there is a good basic shape and style.
But implanting those into CC right now would be awful.
Tips and Pointers: -Avoid Heavy Outlines -Look at pictures or models where light it hitting an object to get proper shading ideas. You really just added random points on that sprite that ramped up from dark to light, which is not what shading is. -Study Vanilla CC content as TT said -Create a shading palette beforehand of colors that ramp from darkest to lightest for each color you will be using. -Never sprite an actor as once piece just to get a mockup. Sprite the pieces first, then combine them later to make a mockup.
