Bunker Modules for Dummies! (Also not a book)
Dummy Modules WIP I got inspired to start up after the Behemoth. Go figure! Shown are the first three modules I've done: Tunnel A, End B, and End D. I have lots of fun ideas I'll flesh out on paper at work today. I want adjust the big circles on the Ends to match up better so you can overlap like with vanilla ones, and if I can figure out a way to make a glass cover effect on the exposed pieces of the walls, that is the look I'm going for. I'll animate it too if I can figure it out.

lol. It looks like those kiddie bouncy castles. Try more grey to make it look more concrete
[Less shiny means less plastic feeling]

Lower the details, the player will easily get lost in his bunker with all those segments, decals, and complex metal parts.

I can try to make them more simple. About the shine though, I always pictured Dummy facilities being like their actors, part exposed mechanisms and part clean orange with decals. I can see what I can do to tone it down a bit though. I was really bored while trying to make some Behemoth weapons.

It can be dull yellow, because I'm not sure if concrete fits with Dummies. Or, you can make the connection corners metal/mechanical, and the middle tunnel all concrete painted yellow.
However, to me, those looks great, like, my eyes shone when I saw those. They will be fun. If I ever get these I'll definitely make a Behemoth holding bay in my base, just with these.

I still don't understand why everyone on the earth is obsessed with religiously color-coding every faction.
It's not like the USMC is ALL GREEN ALL THE TIME; different setups for different situations and not everyone ever wears the same exact ♥♥♥♥ color.
But apparently in the FYOOCHUR people don't need to worry about things like camouflage or even not being giant, vibrant ♥♥♥♥ targets.

But it doesn't. And usually stealth is handled in such a manner that it doesn't matter what the unit looks like anyway, like invisibility.

In the case of dummies, Grif, there's really not a whole lot of colors that would make sense. Yellow/Orange/Cream with mechanical Blacks/Greys. Honestly, I just don't like that we only have one style of bunker to choose from, and if you can't distinguish a faction by its colors, it's hard to tell whom they belong to. Anyhow, I'm getting mixed feelings about these. I'll try a more dull yellow so it's no so shiny.

Too briiiiight. They should only have some hazard stripes and stuff here and there and mostly be concrete like normal bunkers. Just make a dummy based expansion of bunker modules that fit with regular ones, with mild dummy adornments, like tutorial bunkers' stuff, since those are dummy bunkers. Custom interior backgrounds would be good.
Or at least that's what I suggest if you want dummy modules that match vanilla content and aren't harsh on the eyes.

Well I was looking at an alternate style of bunker, and something not just a concrete copy clone of vanilla ones. I get that they're too bright. I'll dull them, but I am actually trying to avoid a concrete look.

Re: Bunker Modules for Dummies! (Also not a book)
I've always thought concrete went hand in hand with the dummies since first seeing the tutorial, and for them being crash-test[?] dummies, but whatever. I agree the vanilla bunker style is dull, but I think it fits perfectly with dummies and a more unique base would belong to someone else, like Ronin, junkyard scrap metal, whitebots, futuristic spotless sleek white plastic, browncoats, reinforced mineshafts and yurts, coalition camoed, etc.

I just think these modules are fun, have a very heavy Dummy taste in them. if you prefer the concrete modules no one's going to stop you from using them. It's just personal preference.
