im modding out a gun template for practice since this is my first mod, and i have no idea how to code, so how can i make the bullets explode when it hits stuff? It would be helpful if you could post the code for the round on the topic.

There are perfectly good templates available in base.rte

Yes, the ones on the forums are just put into a neat package that is easily renameable.

i already renamed it and ajusted the fire rate and magazine round count and the sprite.

Yes well see what p3lb0x is saying is that if you were looking for a gun with exploding bullets where would you go?

I dunno maybe something like the preexisting weapons such as the flak cannon, the autocannon etc etc etc AD INFINITUM.
