Photoshop?
Is it possible to just replace all of one color in a sprite with another of one color using photoshop? I'm doing a recolor and it's annoying and painfully slow.

Re: Photoshop?
Can't you just use the magic wand tool?

Re: Photoshop?
In photoshop, you can use the levels and hue/saturation to do a recolor.
Though, I suggest you just go back to paint for a moment and use the paint bucket.

Re: Photoshop?
Go to Select -> Color Range. Select the color that you need and then set the Fuzziness to 0 or something.
I think that's it. I'm not on my Photoshop-enabled PC right now. But I'm sure that's it.

Re: Photoshop?
The sprites tiny though, I can't find the right pixels. Is there some way to just get it to zoom?

Re: Photoshop?
you can do colour selects on the canvas, you dont have to do it in the dialogue window. just open Select> Colour Range and click on the colour you want to change. also, you might want to try GIMP for that, it has a "select all pixels of colour X" tool.

Re: Photoshop?
Indeed flammableguy.
(CS2 path) Picture-> Mode-> Indexed colour-> Pallette-> Customize-> Load (and you must pick up the attached file)
That's the way, I like it.

Re: Photoshop?
Okay, I got GIMP, only I have a mac, so it's screwy. How do I install pallettes?

Re: Photoshop?
Okay, got the instructions, but how do I now switch to that pallette? Or is that it?

Rightclick select the color you want to change it to. Rightclick+hold to replace color He's on a mac, he doesn't have paint. what you want to do is use the magic want tool, you UN-check contiguous, you adjust the threshold to, i forget which, its either 0 or 255. one of them will only select one HEX valued color and none of the others, and the other will select everything within 255 of it. it will be obvious which is which. The next thing you must do is un-check anti-aliasing. Thats what makes it select half a pixel. yes half a pixel, the selected layer has half the opacity of the half pixels, and the BG has the other half. So anyway you configure your magic wand tool, click the offending colored pixel, and it selects ALL of that color, and only that... Then you just take your brush tool and go WOO WOO WOO SCRIBLING OUTSIDE THE LINES LOLOLOLOLOL like a little kid and cover the whole sprite in a huge painted area... the result, only the selected pixels (of the offending collor) are changed. Its slightly more complex than in MS Paint. You click options in photoshop. in paint you hold weird-ass hotkeys. I was just using photoshop actually....
