How do I raise and lower the pitch of a sound with Audacity?

A side effect being the speed is affected. It speed up to twice the speed. When I slow it down again that lowers the pitch.

You can try fixing that with change tempo. I noticed a slight time difference when using change pitch, but not that much. 30 seconds went to 29.8 something going up 11 semitones.
