Hey. I've just started out making a faction. I did one before on my old computer years ago and it was pretty good but got deleted when i upgraded. Anyway, to make a long story short, I've forgotten quite a bit of Cortex Commanding!! I have parts that i did in photoshop, yet, the pallete turns them blackish. Anyway around this? Here's a helmet... Attachment: Untitled-1.bmp Could anyone convert it into the pallete or explain how without changing colours dramatically?? Much appreciated! PAWS |

I think the issue is that when you copy/paste it into the pallette, it just searches for the closest numbers to what you had, not the closest in that hue... which for instance often turns grey things into collections of green, brown, and such. If it's close enough you can keep it, but sadly when it comes to pixel art there's just no substitute for placing each one by hand... |

Thanks very much for trying mrah. I tried the same way but the colours are still different... I have been experimenting quite a bit in the last half an hour or so and just can't seem to do it. I guess your right solace, the only way to do this is in the pallete and to use the limited colours given. A real shame, but something i'll have to work with no matter what. Cheers for the intrest though. |
