Post Sticky Objects
If there's a way to make sticky particles (which I'm fairly sure there is) then is it possible to make sticky objects?

like a bomb that sticks to whatever it hits (like in halo), or a device that you stick to stuff that then has an effect (gold spawner, uber dismemberment device etc).

If i can make it work i plan to have a gun that shoots charges designed to crack open bunkers (breeching charge style) that don't destroy everything else. or at least, not too much. that could then open up room assault type missions with neutral actors (hostages). not much good for single player, but it would be awesome trying to stop someone seizeing some dudes in split screen. like an un-official objective.

plus just for the fun of sticking a charge to a zombie and watching it walk towards its friends before gibbing them and itself into paste.

Nope, only things that are sticky at this point are MOPixels.

You are not the only one waiting for sticky bombs.

Not sure if you'll like it, but Cave Cricket's halo mod has the best sticky nade so far. You can find it in Cave Cricket's minimod topic in Mods.

You sorta can, if you have something gib into a pinned version of itself... that only sticks it to walls though, nothing moving.

Another thing that is possible to make is make a simple impact grenade (gibs upon hitting anything, ex. ronin stick bomb) make it gib a mini-version of solace's hover drone and make it have a weak gun that pushes the drone forward (negative mass invisible particle digger) and have some airresistance on the drone so he wont go flying around crazy. Then rig an attached emitter to make the drone gib after a predefined time delay and boom.

Its somewhat make-shift, but it would "stick"(follow) to the target as long as its a live actor.

You can do what you want to do with the anti-bunker bombs fairly easily, it doesn't have to be sticky.

To avoid shameless promotion of my own mods, here's how you make something that does what you want, although not stick to actors.

Have your HDFirearm shoot a TDExplosive which when it either goes off or is gibbed gibs another, different TDExplosive which is pinned (see the Brain code for the pinstrength variable). this TDExplosive has a timer.

So you fire this at a bunker, it hits the bunker and stays there, then goes off after some time. shooting actors would result in the explosive pinning itself mid-air where it hit the actor, which has probably moved by the time it goes off.

hope that helps!
