Sprite Advice
So I'm making a biorifle based on what Lord Tim had said (Doesn't exactly work like a biorifle, but it's the closest I've got so far to working this thing) and I need some feedback on the sprite. Spots to touch up, things to remake. I could've gone for the origional look of the biorifle, but I decided that it looks... Iunno... A little less dorky (Come on now, it looked like an arts and crafts project gone horribly right berfore) and thusly went with the Unreal 3 look. As you can see here, it's a ♥♥♥♥♥. Reference pic.

Personally I'd vote for one of the earlier versions... less polygons is probably gonna work better with the low-pixel guns CC uses.

The tip of the barrel got four (two in 2D) petals right? In the sprite, they are placed too 'verticly', you should bend them a little backwards. Right now, it looks like a cyber blunderbuess or a flower gun.

I personally don't do sprite though. I have no idea how to stuff all that detail into something that's some 20 pixel large AND make it look good. I really have no idea XD

Holy crap that biorifle is ugly.
The very first one is better, in my opinion, and would translate to CC much better too.
You will probably need to make it a little less colorful, but idk.

Are you trying to directly sprite the gun in the reference pic, or are you just getting ideas form it?

I'm trying to do it directly. Lots of things are getting lost in the translation. Alright, I'll do the first Biorifle. That seems to be a better idea. Thanks guys.

The handle should be further back, not covered by that hook thing on the back.

i made a sprite for you(if you even wanted someone to) it will be up in a sec Edit: here you go(other gun is for firing animation)
