Mac Modding
Alright, well it seems that Mac's have a completely different understanding with modding Cortex Command... I have an Actor Mod that needs a professional's Skill and needs to be fixed, It's only the coding that need fixing right now. But other than that I could probably handle. Thank you, and please tell me what you found out what's wrong with it. Attachment: MyActor.rte.zip

Re: Mac Modding
You haven't put it into CC's pallete. If you don't know what I mean by that, a pallette is the colours the game recognises. if you try to put it into other colours, it does that.
There are a few ways to fix it, but I only know the MS Paint version, and considering you're on a mac, you're going to need to wait for someone else to help you.
My apologies, but don't panic, it's easily fixed.

Re: Mac Modding
You can try copying your sprite over a vanilla sprite, it works on MSPaint at least. Using colors pipetted from the palette may work too.

Re: Mac Modding
get GIMP. load any other working CC sprite. load your sprite. go to the palette options (image->mode->indexed | custom palette | little arrow up top->import palette) in the import palette options, go to "image" and select the _working_ sprite. save your new palette as "CCPalette" or simmilar, and select it for your sprite. save done. just fyi, this has nothing to do with "mac modding" you just ♥♥♥♥ up a little. thats alright, everyone does it, but myeh. modding is the same on all platforms, the apps you use are just different.

Re: Mac Modding
And for the record, the OS X version of Cortex Command does not interpret .ini files differently. This thread is just an example of a misinformed member.

Re: Mac Modding
some colours dont load because they are not in the palette, which is the 255 colours that CC can use. that isnt many colours, so dont expect all your colours to work. welcome to spriting. im getting kind of exasperated here, can you tell?

Re: Mac Modding
You're not listening to him. Cortex Command uses 255 colours OF IT'S CHOICE! If you try and use other colours, it ignores you.
You have to use it's chosen colours or your sprites come out weird.
I've attached the colours, and if you still don't get it, give up, you have no hope.
