The CA progress file
I am working on a mod and i am wondering if i should make it all then release it with no previous mention of it or should i post regular updates on this forum. Regarding all parts of production. I will put up a poll for 1 week if the answer is yes then i will after this week if not i wont until its released. And if you can any comments would be welcome as well. EDIT: Just to add that it a WHOLE FACTION not just a single actor or weapon. EDIT2: Now this will serve as a progress file for the mod. Thanks, crazyman56 _____________________________________________________________________
So on to the mod. It is called the Crimson Army and here is the prologue and the mission orders for the first two missions. There are eight missions and an epilogue. For the first release which i hope to be released by the new year. Quote: Story of the CA
In the days before Cortex Command© the CA was part of the large CE (Crimson Empire). The CE controlled many universes and defeated many enemies but as time went on the leaders of the Empire started squabbling with each other and forgot they had an empire to run. During this period known as the “Great Squabble”. The Empire’s enemies took back their gains but still the leaders of the Empire where too distracted to notice and care. Finally the Generals of the CA got so disillusioned that they led a coup d’etat and killed all the CE’s leaders. With the army behind them they set up their own leadership and renamed the CE to CA. but they found themselves in a dire situation, only one of their old colonies was left under their control and if it was lost the Crimson people would be enslaved or exterminated. The problem was/is that the last outpost on the last outpost is under attack and you must now take command of your remaining forces and kill the invaders. Now enter the field and win the day Commander!!
Mission 1: Good morning sir, the situation is dire, we have (enter amount here) soldiers with a couple of weapons each, a few turrets and your command unit. The enemy outnumbers us 3:1, but if we can do this the area will be secure enough to land supplies and reinforcements and we will be able to have a chance of taking back the rest of this planet. Now to arms!!
Mission 2: Thanks to our victory at Alpha outpost we can now go on the offensive. We have arrived at the enemies “Gecko” base and are ready to attack. We can now receive reinforcements, but only up to the amount of gold we have. Fortunately there are a few abandoned mine shafts nearby which could have some gold still in them if we get short. Now to battle!! Many more missions to come…. Apologies for the story I am not a writer Here is the CAW-001 "popper" the worst gun in the CA's arsenal . It has a 20 round clip and can kill a coalition solider at point blank range. The standard sidearm of all CA soldiers. (Ill get better pictures later) Thats all for now, more to come.

Re: Should I.....?
Start out by releasing a "base" fraction, a couple of guys and weapons. Then have regular updates.

After the week i will release much more information. Um, there is a reason people update mods, and put the latest update date. Have you've since bumpdate post, or do you ignore the obvious signs of it.

Re: Should I.....?
I would have to say that you should make a topic for the mod and then just edit the main post and title to reflect any changes to the (?) progress bar (?).

Re: I need the community's opinion
Wait until you get a really good base release. Some good sprites, actors, etc. Make updates accordingly to your original post. That's what most do, and build on the ideas and feedback in the thread.

We don't know who the ♥♥♥♥ you are.
There's no point in trying to establish hype if no one cares who you are.
Release it now, if it's any good you'll get recognized, and if it isn't, you'll know to fix it sooner rather than later.
