Help, particles messed up!
Hey, I've been messing around with guns for a turret I'm going to make, but after making some changes to the particles it shoots it now utterly rapes terrain. (Compressed) Below is the part of the ini which defines them, if you could figure out what I did wrong I would appreciate that. http://pastebin.com/m66680c1d

Re: Help, particles messed up!
it's to do with the mass and sharpness of the bullets.
turn them both down a lot, by the looks of that gif they're WAY too heavy.

Re: Help, particles messed up!
Too high sharpness. When increasing mass, be sure to decrease sharpness.

Re: Help, particles messed up!
Is there no other way, like with restthreshold or something? Because it works just how I wanted it to on actors. Thanks for the help anyways. [Thread/]

Re: Help, particles messed up!
I believe negative sharpness is the same as sharpness, only it doesn't affect terrain.

♥♥♥♥ dude. My modding really has gotten rusty.
What negative variable was it that hurt actors but not terrain?

Re: Help, particles messed up!
Negative mass affects everything equally. Terrain is pulled backwards when it's hit. That's the only difference.

Re: Help, particles messed up!
Actually, negative mass acts the same to terrain as normal mass does. How it does differ is that it pulls actors towards it instead of away from it on collisions. That's how my black hole bomb sucks. [/smartiepants]

Re: Help, particles messed up!
We're both wrong.
It pulls both terrain and actors towards you.
Believe me, it's a major part of the Grifbomb explosion, I know what negative mass does to terrain.

Believe me, it's a major part of the Grifbomb explosion, I know what negative mass does to terrain. Normal mass also pulls terrain towards you, though. Case in point: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=10370&p=225153&hilit=for+actor+in+MovableMan.Actors#p225153

Re: Help, particles messed up!
But it does :0 You've probably messed around with negative mass more than i have though, and when i think about it, my black hole bomb really seems to pull terrain back pretty forcefully. I suppose the best way to nail it down for sure would be to invert the mass, and look at the result.
