So a while ago I came up with the idea of having this utility to premake bases into three .bmps for convenient distribution and universal compatibility. Image Smasher is what came of it.

v0.03:
The main feature of ImageSmasher is done, that of loading and then outputting the three necessary bunker module images. Read the readme for controls and notes.

Features to do eventually:
- Scrolling custom image size
- Tile preview bar, like CC.
- Support for indexed bmps(?)

*NOTES*
This is written in Java. If you don't like java, then make a C++ or VB version.
The .bmp encoder and decoder module (image4j.jar) doesn't do indexed bmps, so if you want to place modules outside of what I've converted for the first release you have to make convert them to 24 bit yourself.
The same applies if you want to try putting the generated .bmps into CC. You have to open up a CC indexed bmp and paste in the generated bmp.
READ THE README
It has both important information and controls.

*LEGAL*
The library image4j.jar is released under LGPL, so my program is also GPL because it utilizes it. I think it means I must include the license.txt with my code and credit the authors, so I will do so. Source is available on request, but if enough people ask I'll just paste it up here.
The library image4j.jar (homepage) was created by Ian McDonagh and released under LGPL. It is (c) Ian McDonagh.

Here's some pics and then download.

It's not done yet, but when it is you use it like the scene editor. You load bunker module images, arrange them to your liking, then export the entire thing to file. It spits out three .bmps (mat, bg, and fg) that you can use in a scene to get the same effect as loading the modules themselves. You then distribute the scene and combined bunker modules image as a single package, without having to load 3rd party .rtes in base.rte.
It's mostly intended for easy distribution of 3rd party bunker modules.
And yes, you'd still have to load any moving objects you want to include.

Once this can support indexed bmp's it'll be a very handy thingamabob, especially for people that only have mspaint installed. Nice. :)
