Evangelion Units in Cortex Command
Hey! I have no modding ability whatsoever, but I thought I could present this idea to the modding community to help a bit. If you don't know what they are, you can google search some images. You don't really have to watch the anime to figure out their gigantic awsome mecha. This might be something for when LUA comes out, because the major weakness of the EVA are that when their power cords are tugged they only have 5 minutes till they shut down and stop working. If someone could get this to work, that would be awsome!

I like my post, it was helpful and informative ): Now I'll have to wait for clarification as to why it vanished before reposting it.

I though this was supposed to be locked/moved by now.

Re: Evangelion Units in Cortex Command
Why would you lock/move the thread? It is a request for a mod, which belongs in the mod making forum... and I don't believe I've said anything to offend anyone.

Re: Evangelion Units in Cortex Command
Well as I said before, this has been attempted before but didn't get beyond spriting. Most of it is already possible.

Except for the power cord. Which could be a great addition to CC once done right.

General request topic HURR. There's no need for flaming sarcasm, I was in a rush to get out the door when I was writing the message and it did not occur to me that there was a pre-made thread for requests, rather the fact that the forum information said it was for requests i figured I could just place a topic about it. also, when was it tried before? And why didn't it get past spriting? If you don't mind me asking.

Re: Evangelion Units in Cortex Command
No it was not because of the offsets. It was the reason why almost every large project here fails:
People lose motivation after they realize that their project is harder than anticipated and slowly cease to update it.
You could have something like the power cord, such as a (non-canon) power pack on the back. This could have a very low wound limit and once gibbed would instantly de-activate (kill) the unit with a high damage break wound.

Re: Evangelion Units in Cortex Command
That would be awsome if someone would take on the challendge... But you wouldent want the unit to instantly deactivate, the idea is that the unit would be balanced because it can only run for 5 minutes off it's battery. What would really kick ass is when ver 21 comes out, with the event triggers and such... You could make a scene based on Tokyo 3, having extra "plugs" around the scene, that could replace the broken one, and have it so the eva spawns deep underground and comes up at start of level!

Re: Evangelion Units in Cortex Command
It probably won't be made, but a modder might make something based off it's design.
Edit: Maybe someone should make a "Modding inspiration thread. Post cool stuff you saw that would be awesome in CC here" thread.

Ignorance is not an excuse. If you don't have the time to read the stickies, why should anyone else have the time to make this mod for you? Think about that for just one second and I think you'll understand.

Think about that for just one second and I think you'll understand. It pains me to think that there are such narrow minded people in the world, but I suppose this is the internet. I'm not going to restate what I said before, but I will tell you that I'm not making this request simply to satisfy my own desires with this wonderful game, but hopefully, to enrich other players and mod creators with the ideas that I am supplying in this thread The Fat Sand Rat wrote: Think about that for just one second and I think you'll understand. Regardless to say, it would be very cool if someone made this =)
