Asseiger Armament - WIP Faction
Well, I've decided to step out of the shade and announce what's came out of all this lurking and private tweaks, Assieger Armament. I suppose I'd better throw together some kind of story now. Asseiger Armaments started as a brigade of soldiers called Siege-Corps formed by peasantry on the planet "Cain IV" where Aristocracy ruled. Until of course methods of developing clones were introduced, from then on then on they were thrown aside. They then entered the running as a Mercenary Group under the new name of "Asseiger Armament." Because of the way they were thrown aside they have a dislike towards clones and this perhaps makes them the only PMC which uses trained soldiers instead of clones. Onwards, the army is basically a real world Military Company, I've based my current 4 weapons on the basic AK design (Wood and Metal together) and I'm thinking of doing more high tech weaponry. Currently I've done 3 actors but they all use placeholder parts such as recolored Coalition body parts because frankly, spriting humans isn't my best quality but although limbs and such are placeholders I've still managed to create some attachments such as Helmets, Caps, Gasmasks and Chestplates. Weapons L-R Marksman with Rifle , Scout(old) with SMG, Soldier, with Assault Rifle Thanx 2 flyindawg 4 doin sum concept drawinz an da final Anyway besides that I don't have much done, not even concept art, I pretty much just sprite as the crow flies, why did I post here you ask? Suggestions of course, and people to give me tips and such. You don't notice the terrible flaws in design till someone points them out XD PS. Please don't tear my to pieces 'cause I'm new.

The weapon sprites needs more shading and working, actors looks like little bit better.

The one in the avatar is an older screen cap with a recolored Coalition Helmet, I see what you mean though, I've been thinking the scouts skin is too fair, should I put facepaints of some kind on him?
In my eyes the marksman's head is too low, should I move it up?

Facepaint would be nice if you can make it work. I've tried it but don't find the room for it to come out right.
The marksman's head seems fine. It has the same height as the others. I wouldn't move it.

This didn't turn out exactly as I had hoped, it's not in the CC pallete yet though so maybe it'll look better ingame. Edit: Does anyone have a tool that quickly fixes images for a pallete? I was using Jasc's Load Pallete features but I don't have Jasc on my Laptop.

Always paint on a .bmp file that's already in the right palette. Or, if you have it, use Photoshop and create palette files that can be loaded in afterwards. Perhaps other image editing tools have functions like this one as well. Dunno.Edit: Gawd, I have trouble reading stuff today. Well, then the only thing I can think of is opening that picture in ms paint, select all, copy, open a picture that's in the right palette and paste. It might work, dunno.

Decided I was gonna use a High Caliber High Piercing Rifle than a Rocket Launcher, do the poll and pick the best concept, not shaded as it's gonna be in game obviously :p

For the knife should I maybe add different sounds so it picks at random? I'm also tempted to make the Gas masks eyes glow similar to the Helghast from Killzone, what do you guys think? Yay or Nay. My take on Facepaints, keep?

Not bad; this is one of the better first mods in a while IMO. As for the helghast-style eye glows, go for it. The only problem I see is in the last pic you posted - the actor's legs look like they're almost detached from his body. You should add some more pixels to that area, or change the offsets a bit. Other than that, the facepaint looks good.
