Hi everyone, i was wondering.... In order to make any mod cooler, a new sound is nice, but where do the people around these forums get them? |

Just wondering, is there a limit(in K.B.) to how big a sound can be in CC? Cause I got a sound, I'm positive it's wav, but it keeps saying it can't find it? Any suggestions? |

There's no limit; people have made entire songs into sound effects. Try making it into an .ogg vorbis file. That, and make sure your capitalization is correct, your filepaths are accurate, and all that. |

Audacity is an open source sound editor that can open pretty much any file under the sun. And export as .wav, .ogg, and .mp3. |

CC likes .wav and .ogg files. Audacity does both, it's free, and its also a really useful program to have around. I know what you mean, finding sounds can be tough. soundsnap is good, but typing 'free sound effects FX' into google usually results in SOME decent sites. If you find a good one, bookmark it, you'll use it later! |

I highly recommend the freesound project: http://freesound.iua.upf.edu/ You can use every sound on there for free, they're all original, but you need to register to download them (you can use bugmenot.com). Also, try not to use .wav for larger sounds unless you compress it first, or else something that's maybe 20 seconds long for a long firing sound can end up being 3-4 mb big. |

Also remove any useless silence in a sound file through Audacity to minimize the chances that CC will skip the noise when played in a rapid fashion. |
