Is it possible for someone to have a tail?
Is it possible? I think if someone can make something like an arm and put the offsets in correctly, they could make something like a tail. It can gib, and do stuff similar to other parts.
Has anyone tried this yet? I want to make this lizard troop, and the idea of a tail popped into my mind.

You could do it with attachables, but it wouldn't bend like a limb and just move with the body.

I tried it with loads of short attachables attached to each other with 0 joint stiffness (and other joint stiffness values) and they were completely stiff, and did not act how I expected (ragdoll, flimsy, flow like a real tail).

Yeah, attachments and joints in CC don't have actual hinges.
"Joints" would be better referred to as "welds". Nothing is flexible in the CC environment, which is why we can't really do ropes or a whole variety of other things.

You could have an attached emitter which emits MOSParticles which look like segments of a tail - something similar to the rocket blast balls whereby the particles would change their appearance the longer they existed and therefore the further away they are from the base of the tail.
That would give a tail which changes position and shape as the actor moves.
Sorry if my explanation was a little garbled.

And so it begins, total furry conversions of CC...

Tell me if I'm wrong, but couldn't you have the tail as a leg, and just offset it differently so it is where you want the tail?

Is there a chance that it would be possible to do this in the future or perhaps with Lua? Could work, but one-legged lizards? :/ But like many others said, you can make a tail, but it would be as stiff as a broomstick shoved up your hiney. And just as useless. It would purely be for aesthetics.

Re: Is it possible for someone to have a tail?
I've heard that it may be implemented thanks to lua. I guess we'll have to wait and see. Although I suppose if you made an attachable with hinges it could possibly work? When I begin work on my 40k mod again I may create a servo harness usung this.

I thought of that a little while ago, shame it doesn't work.

you could make a guy with an animated body that includes the tail, but then it would loop the same cycle...over and over and over and over again + offsets would be a ♥♥♥♥♥.

Maybe the 0 in the stiffness means infinite stiffness? Some games do this.

That is something to consider. But @ Tosty, can you animate a body?
