I have an army idea. It's called the Sand Coalition. Their name says what they are, as the story is in development... But I am releasing the army as a pack. Could you guys tell me what you think of it so far.

The SandShooter is a modded SMG that shoots bullets made of hardened sand. The sand was never heated, so the bullets are not glass. The Sand Soldier is a basic light coalition with armor made of hardened sand.

So far this sounds like a resprite and maybe some tweaks to the vanilla material. D'ya have anything unique planned for it?

This would mean lots of armor attachables that spray into particles when they're destroyed.

Wow, guns that shoot rocks...
That's all that sand is, bits of rocks, if you re-compress them they'll effectively be sandstone.

That's one of the dumbest ideas ever brought to these forums, up there with the guns that shoot frozen blood or some crap.

But seriously, I think it'd be sick if you made a race of desert-dwellers with some crazy transport walkers and such. That's what I thought you meant by Sand Coalition, but no, they have sandstone armour.

Well actually the majority of what we call sand is Silicon Dioxide.

Back on track: If it's the coalition based for desert operations don't do it, resprites are not liked.

If it's people made from sand, it sounds cool if you can do it right. Like ppiksmada, i think you should add lots of attachables to the actors which gib sand. One thing you should also do is rename it, sand coalition just sounds a bit out of place.

Alright, gave the mod a quick blast, basically the resprites are nice apart from the "Sand shooter" it looks just like the SMG and feels like it too.

I like the sprites for the actor, but the firearm is pretty bad.

Oooh ... sandstone people! So ,make them 2/3rds normal size and brawly. Sorta like gnome/dwarf people. They're tough but slow, and have lots of attachables that blow up in sandy-goodness.

(Lowering the velocity of gibbing "blood" so that they drop piles of sand whenever they get shot.)

Sweet idea. Go with it!

Right! Even something like "Jade Empire"'s take on golems would be sweet. (Btw, I do not endorse the game. It looks pretty, and plays decently but -Oh!- horrible story and acting!)

That is ... small-mid-large golems. Move slow, but very strong.

Not to get ahead of ourselves though; Cameron, what do you think?

I just got what this meant, lol. The "and" symbol messed me up for days.

As for the preceeding ideas of people made out of sand with the sand armor blasting away into pixels, I highly support the idea.
