Hello fellow americans!

Im revealing my latest project: The AAL NovaStar Cannon.
Its a huge base defence turret to fend off the large badasses from your AAL base. Its as big as the MPAM (maybe larger, i'll see that soon and you will too as I get the basic code done for it.) and its weapons will also be large and pack enough punch as they should be doing.

[CURRENT STATUS:]

It will have heavy armor and a layer of attachables around it and its special feature will be the "Aegis" Shield system. This system makes the NovaStar impervious to the majority of projectile attacks and thus leaving the turret stand much longer than any other has so far. Now heres the catch, underneath the turret, theres a special console/thingy to which every segment of the Aegis shield is linked to. This part is very fragile and if you infiltrate an AAL base and get un the turret within the bunker, you can easily disable its shield system and destroy the cannon itself too.

Now the problem lies within the weapons of this cannon. Since its based on an Actor, it can have multiple weapons. So heres the question:

You have a ridiculously large turret, what armaments should you give it?

Be creative!

As a bonus for those who dont know, theres a game called Scorched Earth 3D that is a turn based turret/tank game where you try to hit your opponent with a variety of interesting, yet devastating weapons.
HAS NUKES AHOY.

So if anyone find any interesting ideas from that, please tell me.


UPDATE1: Ok, now a sneak preview of the cannon. It still lacks the aegis system and I cannot get it merged with bunker module properly. And if I do, the slightest debris will make the turret dislodge and get displaced.

Also the cannon in the pic is just a placeholder, I think it doesnt suit the turret somehow.

Suggest a funcion for the jetpack aswell, like a surrounding clearing digger or a shockwave dispencer ect ect.


UPDATE2: Now the offsets have been completed and the aegis system is up and running to serve its turret. Meanwhile i've been spriting the gibs and so far I have completed 28 different gibs, and thats not all.

gun ideas:
1: a rapid shooting bigger version of the flak cannon
2: a flamethgrower, for when they get too close to shoot shrapnel at
3: a giant laser
4: a gun that shoots out an AAL trooper?

the whole thing sounds great! i cant wait to see how this will turn out. i hope these weapon ideas helped... if you need more then look at the steam cannon or whatever from B14(?).

1. Some super-sized homing missile launcher
2. A piercer beam (thin super high-energy beam that can slice through masses on infantry.

A cannon that shoots an enormous kinetic round.
Essentially, it fires a big ball that goes very, very fast.

Also this should like be a mini ypsilion with a mega reload time.
basicly your expencive trump card to use at last resort.

If such a beam was fired it should destroy the cannon (and everything else it was fired at). That would add a tactical value.

A great big incendiary shell, filled to the brim with pyromaniac-y goodness.
Also, maybe a blank shot? For a cannon of that size, the shockwave alone
would be enough to blow anyone apart.
And a fallout bomb. Definetly.

A giant, 12 barreled volleygun (multiple barrels firing at once or in sequence) that fires nukes.
a GIANT minigun that fires 30 mass ball bearings at 4000 FPS and a RoF of 12 rounds A SECOND.

Fires a large ball that gibs and releases 60 mini homers after 4 seconds of flight.

"DROPPOD" use aim angle limits to restrict firing to an angle(I can't remember if this is on the gun or the turret code but pleeeeeeease include it no matter what!), get good with it and you'll be able to drop a standard marine wherever you want.

THE PENETRATOR(ololol)
A ball(also ololol)
that when gibed, turns into a tdexplosive that looks EXACTLY like itself and originates from the exact center of the sprite(in short, it gibs, releases a tdexplosive of itself, that explodes 2 sec later, releasing lots of little bomblets.)

Ehm, erm.
Artillery barrage, like the droppod but smaller and explosive a volley gun setup of artillery, fully auto with 5 volleys of 20 weak clusterbomb shells and a rof of a volley a second.

A one shot vaporizer that eliminates ANY obstacles (inlcuding test) in its way. The ray would not use the ball style bullets found in your other rays, it would have a massive particle count and fire the beam as a tracer after about 100 other rounds of nothing (like the spartan cannon).

Giant cannon needs giant shells. Like as big as an actor. For added lulz, how about shooting a pilot? You can use his pants as the casing ejected, and shoot him decked out in red polka dot boxers.

Suggestions?
-LFEB laser, like an upgraded EX Rifle. Casing ejected isn't so much a casing as a burnt-out focusing plate for the laser, like a big crystal shard thing. Linear Focused Electromagnetic Beam
-Bouncing bomb, shoot it and watch it bulldoze through actors and bounce off dropships until KABLOOIE. Casing? I dunno.
-Canister rounds. Upgraded shotgun. Like 40 3kg pellets into some poor greenclone's face. Shell ejected: Giant shotgun casing.
-Plain 'ol giant cannon. Can never have enough of these things. Standard brass cannon casing.

Oh, and I second that incendiary artillery round.

liiiike a...... hrmm.
A giant ball that explodes into a rocket that can be controlled that when scuttled explodes into little mini versions of itself.


Think like there is an extremely powerfull improbability field around the turret, crazy, wacky ♥♥♥♥.

A giant claw thing, possibly with a beam blade coming out from it.
A split missile launcher.
A rock-shower explosive that fires a projectile which gibs into a bunch of high-mass boulders for crushing and blocking entrances.
