Transparent actor?
Would it be possible to make an actor transparent. If so, how?

Not in the slightest way possible? Could it not work in the same way a glow works seeing as though you're limited to bitmap?

Re: Transparent actor?
An invisible sprite will not collide with anything. It would fall through the floor.

Re: Transparent actor?
But there is no translucent color. Only glows do that. Heeeyy... Maybe, just maybe, if we do this with atomgroups and emitters?
Gah, anyway, I'm not up to it.

Re: Transparent actor?
One pixel sprites, with glows attached MIGHT work, but you would be lucky to hit when you shoot at it.

Re: Transparent actor?
You could just make stealth clones, which I once tried, but the sprites got all screwy because I changed the file format. What I did was take materials from the background, and just replace the light soldier's sprites with bits of that material. So, if you made a sky one, you could blend in on the background. Sure, the computer would see you, but in multiplayer... with charheight = 9999, it could work. Suggested materials: Sky Sand Grass Bunker background

Re: Transparent actor?
Hmmm... but you could do a ghost dropship, you know... with ghost actors that can't be hitten by bullets and can pass throuh doors and actors... but make it very expansive :P

Re: Transparent actor?
hmmm.... Do this: The way the pixels are spaced out gives the impression that the (object) is transparent... The (2ed to) bottom part should give the best idea.
