I've some across another problem an actor I'm working on. I've got all the limps lined up and everything, except his whole body is about 5 or 6 pixels above his feet. I haven't looked into that much yet, but I thought I saw something about atomgroups affecting the feet and hand positions. I don't wanna start fiddling with that yet, though. When I tried playing with the numbers for foot offset in the lines where they're attached the the legs, it didn't do anything at all. Should I just be moving everything else down to compensate or am I missing a variable?

What you want to do is mess with the parent offsets in stuff. I'm pretty sure that that is what changes the actual positions.

You mean the parentpoffset for the foot in the "addactor = leg" instance, right?

Foot = Attachable
CopyOf = Peter BG Foot
ParentOffset = Vector
X = -5
Y = 4

Cause for some reason no matter what I put in there, it doesn't affect the feet at all. And when I tried changing the parentoffset in the "addactor = aHuman" for the legs, it keep the feet in the same spot relative to the legs.

You should be changing the parent offset under the leg code. (just in case you aren't or something)

And remember: If all else fails, change the sprite offset.

Dammit, I changed something last night when my internet was down and I don't remember what it was. But now my guys feet are fixed but he not touching the ground.

It might've been the jointoffset I was playing with

Edit: Oh, i was wondering if maybe there might be another file somewhere that's superseding the one I'm editing somehow when the mod loads. Like in the temporary program data. I was having problem before with files in: "C:\Users\Jeff\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Cortex Command", but I've cleared that crap a couple times and there isn't anything in there for my mod folder. Anywhere else I could try looking on the comp?

I have no idea why he's not touching the ground, I haven't dared to touch actors yet.

And could you rephrase that please?
It didn't make much sense.

Don't do that, it'll completely screw up all the other offsets.

Like his feet are correctly place relative to his body, but he's not touching the ground. He walks like 5 pixels too high.

you have to change the atom groups y values to make him touch, the feet don't actually touch the ground, it like an invisible skeleton of the guy that dose, just imagine the sprites as his cloths.

Aren't all the atomgroup settings in a different file (can't cheack, @ school)? Like I'm gonna have to make an entirely new atomgroup intance or something, right?

I guessed that might be it, but someone said somewhere that messing with the numbers would screw up his walk path so I didn't want to touch them.

Why don't you just use Azukkis templates see if you can mabey get it fixed by editing that

That's just not how I roll, it'd feel like I was cheating. Plus I'd have to re-input all my data
