Re: (( AAL Index )) [7.6.2008]
How about when fired, there is no or little firing trail, but where it hits there is a small explosion, but anything within the explosive radius is COMPLETELY wiped out.

A beam that draws actors towards it perpendicularly and when they hit the beam it shreds them? Preferably no affect on terrain.
Edit: Or a charging projectile that fires a short beam, holds a glow at the end for a moment, and then obliterates some large area in front of it. e.g. ................../||||||| >--------o<||||||||| ..................\|||||||

Re: (( AAL Index )) [7.6.2008]
Make the GA-08 fire bursts of ionized lasers with bolts running down the beam, AND make it like the CRobo's laser where the more laser there is, the bigger the after-explosion; in this case, SUPERNOVA after all the lasers.
In short: Automatic laser rifle that makes a huge explosion after firing.

Re: (( AAL Index )) [7.6.2008]
I think ideas similar to this have been posted already, but:
I've always liked the idea of an energy gun that fires a beam. Now, the beam isn't too powerful. But a second after firing, a string of somewhat randomly offset explosions occur along the path that the beam just followed.
I would like that idea, though, because it seems rather anime-ish for some reason.
Also, an AAL-related comment: I recall in the past that you made some powerful stuff partly to deal with my own Heavies. These heavies no longer exist, and I don't plan on creating anything even remotely as broken in the future. So, don't feel you have the need to continue doing that.
If you like making things overpowered for the sake of being overpowered though, then thats fine.

A very small red laser thats meant for penetration of armour and every 50 shots (Just randomly guessing) an explosive energy beam shoots out with a biggish exlosion =3 EDIT1: (And I just not realised thats almost exactly the same as the LR5000 =/) hmm... EDIT2: Also justn oticed Darlos justsaid that =/

Re: (( AAL Index )) [7.6.2008]
new thought: you could make a beam that only created explosions when it hit enemy actors.*
*Fire dropship, launch actor, actor has some attached gun with 1 shot that does nothing on its own but when reloaded explodes
Might be difficult to get the timing right, as well as getting your invisible actors to fire.

Awesome, but overpowered. On the subject of the Vector Cannon, why not make a laser gun that gets more and more powerful the longer you hold it? and if you fired too long, the gun could massivley explode and kill your MPAM. a diagram ----- ===== ()()()()()()() BOOM!

Alright, I decided to make it a single shot weapon. It will fire a powerful energy blast at a high velocity that is quite obliterating. I will combine several ideas you guys suggested. Stay stunned.

Re: (( AAL Index )) [14.6.2008] !WARNING!
Bump!
Check the first post and do what you want before its gonna get blown up. Also I'll be posting the older AAL stuff, refined, in a few days. Maybe even today if I'm fast enough. The new Black Bomb and the Ice Bombs are much better now. Also tons of graphical changes on the art of the bomb pack and even more tweaks on the other weapons/tools from the old stuff have been done.
