I'm pretty sure nobody would be confused about the two except those being overly literal, but w/e. are substantialy diffrent platformers valid? ie, compleatly diffrent graphics, set in say, the middle ages? and you only have 1 unit (and you cant fly), not an army of brain controled ones, and the gameplay was more of a "get to the point, and hold it!" setup?.

Re: Total Conversion Contest
The voters will decide. The only hard stipulation is that it must not be Cortex with different weapons and actors. It must be a new game.

ITT robolee nitpicks.

Re: Total Conversion Contest
actually I have a menu screen drawn up that I planned to pop up when you click start campaign which would just be a level select for the game then I read into the actual thing and realized I couldn't make the level select screen. -removed- the annoying thing is now that the piemenu will be there and is not removable which I could at least remove graphically if base edit was allowed so I'm slightly annoyed.

PM it to Duh if you have any potentially "revealing" questions i suppose (and remove any details from your previous post even though loads have probably seen it), plus he was commenting to me also. (I was trying to show some techniques and post some creative zing but I guess I should stick to anonymity)

I walk away for a day or so and come back to this? really? so we have Grif, the internet hate machine, and Lafe, someone who's only crime is making bullet-rape mods with bad spelling, and grif has to jump on him and try to beat him down. Actually, lafe is the one who challenged him. This has probably been pointed out already. And why shouldn't it include anoyne wishing to participate?

Here's what you do. You make the non-base edit part of this and submit it for the contest. Then, once contest is over, or if you finish before time, make the rest of it. Come voting time's end, release the rest of it and reap great rewards for being crazy awesome.

Re: Total Conversion Contest
Hi, is it possible to use those templates? : http://www.datarealms.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=10247Or shall we make the same things but from scratch? It would take less time let's say for the mission template for example. (The Lua being changed) ? Thanks, bye. edit : just though, if I understood correctly we can use any file which came with the game, for example, I can use any file from coalition.rte or scene.rte? Can you confirm this please, I'm not sure of my english. Thanks.

Re: Total Conversion Contest
I'd bet more complaining has gone on than actual modding. I would agree with betting of Grif, however. I will eagerly await the results.

Re: Total Conversion Contest
Yes you may. They're pretty much just Base.rte stuff with explanations built in, so it's not coding anything for you. cernunnos wrote: if I understood correctly we can use any file which came with the game, for example, I can use any file from coalition.rte or scene.rte? Yes.
