I know some of numguns old Anti-Mass bombs work in a way that could help, and works in the way Lizard described. Cannibalizing some of the code from them might be feasible.

The AntiMass bomb is just a TDExplosive with negative mass.
Any attachable with negative mass should do exactly the same thing.
