Re: Color Swatches for CC Palette
Edited in the original file and put in Duh102's GiMP Palette files. Enjoy.

Re: Color Swatches for CC Palette
All sprites I create with the greyscale palette are not working ingame (out of palette error). Can anyone check if the greyscale palette is actually correct?! Here you can see the cannon-ish sprite looks alright on the first view, but the transparency (pink) is not working! Hence the Shell that is being shot is working alright, it has been made using the green palette. Same sprite, but actor looking to the left.

Re: Color Swatches for CC Palette
You need to put them in the full palette when you're finished.

Re: Color Swatches for CC Palette
or you could use them as swatches, like they are intended, and paint onto something already in palette

Re: Color Swatches for CC Palette
You can use MSPaint if you like. People seem to like GraphicsGale, Paint Shop Pro, and yes, Gimp and Photoshop.

Re: Color Swatches for CC Palette
Ok, I'm somewhat confused here. Let's say I want to make an actor, and I want to use Gimp. Could I just open up Gimp, choose the Palette, and start drawing?

Re: Color Swatches for CC Palette
The way Gimp works, you have to first create a new image, then put it into palette by doing image-mode-indexed, then selecting the Cortex palette. Also, to access the palette directly, you have to add the colormap tab to one of your docks, or make it a floater.

Aside from that, thank you so much.

Re: Color Swatches for CC Palette
This is gonna sound really stupid, but I can't get any of the colors to turn out like they should. I used both color palettes and swatches in GIMP and Photoshop but I still can't make the .bmp's look right. One color turns into a totally separate color on the canvas. What's wrong?

Do you have to use "Photo Shop & GIMP"?
