I was bumping the topic to compliment the work of the creator, something everyone should do, and something that definitely doesn't require you following me around telling me not to.

If this is the motive behind major thread necro-ing, a simple Private Messege to the thread creator allows you to similarly compliment them, and doubles to remove you from the crosshairs of the THOR. http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/win-win_situation

I used the mission template. very helpful by the way
i dont know if its the mod or me. but when i destroy the enimies brains, i dont win. [using the mission ttemplate] is it because i have two?

Thanks for the compliments.
Bumping stickied topics hardly matters anyway, they're always going to be on the front page.
I'd like to restate again that this isn't a general modding help topic, and shouldn't be used as such, but I would try to help if you were to PM me asking for it.
I'll put a robot template on my to do list. Which is mental in nature. It'll be at a low priority. I'll likely forget it again.
A material template would be dumb, since it could be so easily copied from Materials.ini, they reference nothing else, and doesn't have any sort of complex formatting that would be significantly more convenient in template form. Also I'm not sure how to give custom materials terrain pattern textures myself; I remember having difficulties in previous attempts.
Edit: I did indeed forget the robot template again, but Captain Kicktar did it for you all when I didn't bother. Any thanks at all for this one goes to him. And any criticism, though I'm sure it's all fine and dandy.

The link to the externally hosted culmination of the templates? Hmm, yes, file unavailable. I'll rehost it as soon as I find out where I put that file. Might as well throw in the robot template to it while I'm at it.
Actually, delay, I think I'll make a rocket launcher template first so I can add it to the compilation now instead of having to update it later.

I don't even know what happened there with my last post, but I entirely forgot about that within hours. Terribly sorry about that, but a PM reminder probably would have gotten me back to working on it.
I'll make that RL template shortly, and upload the full compilation along with that. In the meantime, cernunnos' upload link will take place in the front page. Once again, thanks for that.
Well the rocket launcher template is done, I tried something new with it. Initially, it looks kinda crappy and simplistic. This will encourage more tweaking and improvement, I hope. Also, only one of a particular type of effect is made, one MOPixel and MOSParticle propulsion/explosion effect, and one MOSRotating gib. You can easily expand on those though, so I think this should fit well to any case where you're just starting making something you plan to flesh out more to something unique and interesting, which is the main intention of the templates.

The rocket template lists blast 1 and blast 2 but the side emitter just uses blast 1 twice.
