It would desolate the surface of the planet using high-mass, high-velocity sticky ice particles, eventually covering the surface in a layer of permafrost and killing any units smaller than giant robots like the MARS, MPAM, Oppressor, etc.

It would be pretty stupid to call a spaceship Fimbulwinter Cannon.

It would NOT, however, be stupid to call something that covers the world in ice Fimbulwinter.

I would suggest the sonic disassembly cannon.

It randomly detaches attachable, like heads.

That would be fun. Make a turret with aimangle = 0, and it charges up like that, but on a huge scale. The longer you can take the gunfire, the more damage you can do to a space the size of a bunkermodule.

Second, if you read my entire post, you'll see the context suggests that the proposed Fimbulwinter Cannon is... well, a CANNON. A weapon. That's why I described what the weapon would do when fired from the spaceship.

Thirdly, my only earlier post which held any serious suggestions was all suggestions for weapons, not names.

If the mod was less serious it could be called the crazy sno-cone machine attack. All different colors of icy icicles hitting the planet and then slowly melting.
