yes it works,
yes there are still bugs, thats why its takeing so long.
small actors go through okay,
anything rocket size or bigger tends to glitch, something about duplicate offsets.

its not fake, just a bit difficult to get gifs of when your taking rapid screenshots, and pasting together as a gif in gimp. i dont have any video recording software either, thats why it looks wierd.

(beta testers are passing gifs back and fourth without you, to decide what to post)

now, as for why it was given to me?
A) it gets rid of rants,
B) it makes me eat my words
C) it means people who believed me when i was wrong will go "OH SHI--- ITS REAL!!!"

so realy it un-did what i ruined, and got more people interested.

current bugs :
Rockets, and dropships, have duplicate offsets if they go through, causing explosions, and wierd glitches.
cutting actors in half if there more than an inch and a half tall (if they go in length wise)
portals can be exploded if you destroy the ground behind them (by going from the other side)

as for why the portals are centered? just like the real portal, if you place a portal on a surface, but not centered, it pushes the portal up or down to fit,

unfortunatly, if the space isn't flat enough, or isn't large enough, it explodes, or crashes.

the upside, it works both ways now, and you can go through multiple times.
(that cube... yeah i found it... its made of a bouncy material like rubber, and has a decimal for the weight)

if there's any other questions about what i was whining about that i was wrong about, just Post here, and ask me why whatever is however, and i'll answer as best i can.

if you can fix the glitch of digging through the map behind the portal to make it lose support, THAT wold be awsome.

get it to be pinned to its location, not to a point on the ground/walls/other terrain.

in the mean time, as i said before, i am very suprized and impressed by it, but can't be excited because of how much of an ass i made myself. its hard to be happy when you look that stupid. (with few exceptions, shut up... freaking 80's music)
