Yeah, 2 things, 1) Make sure it can dig through the hardest parts of the vanilla bunkers. You know, those thin lines that even the heavy digger takes FOREVER on. and 2, try to make it a little better than all the vanilla ones, but still acceptable, IE bigger range but not double, maybe more accurate, but not a laser.

Other than that, make it however you want. Also it should still be fatal to actors, regardless of what numgun thinks

1. Its gonna be enough strong to dig the claws of satan, but its gonna be enough quick to be realistic ^^
2. I've noticed the last digger wasn't very nice, I've not seen it, but I gonna give to it a hard try ;)

I've got to warn you all, its a HEAVY digger, not little lolly-pop to swallow in a sunny day of summer,
but enough portable for 1 fire warrior ^^

jejej its gonna look BIG, but not very weighty...
I, personally like to walk while dig and don't have to stop
each 0.1 seconds to clean... that angers me :wink:

But c'mon people, just a digger cannot stop the ideas to make more weapons!!

The question is the difference between a fusion digger and a plasma digger. Fusion digger seems like over-kill to be frank, and the plasma rifle on the crisis suits could be shrunk down for a diger easily. Actually I think there's mention of a plasma-drill in the taros campaign, But anyway, I've got work to do on the necrons. This is basically all of your projects now, I'll just be throwing in my 2 cents.

By long range I mean only 12" on the table-top :P

Its longer range then a pistol, but still shorter than everything else.

S8 AP1 Melta, 12".... Not to say that it couldn't be used as a digger, Just that its over-kill. Thats like digging with the czar bomba, or cutting a piece of paper with a circle-saw....
