Re: are parachutes possible
I think you could make it even simpler than that. Just give a clone a gun (that looks like a parachute) with a mass of -50 or so, with HitsMOs and GetsHitByMOs set to 0, which gibs on impact with the ground. This would make the clone effectively very light so it should float gracefully down to earth... on the other hand it may just go splat, it depends on how well CC models gravity. Technically it should go splat, according to Gallileo.

Re: are parachutes possible
BTW jetpacks CAN be gibbed off, I've done it myself, but for some reason this paralyses the actor from the waist down I.E. their legs remain but stop responding to commands.
Oh and CC doesn't seem to take weight into account for calculating gravity, everything falls at the same rate.

Re: are parachutes possible
I've not noticed the paralysis effect myself.

Re: are parachutes possible
I did it by messing with my guy from the hero pack, he had a massive jetpack so it was easy to hit. Paralysis effect is definately there.

Re: are parachutes possible
I meant the method where you ram into a non-wrapped map edge.
That gets rid of the jetpack, but your character can still walk.

Re: are parachutes possible
what about a gun that shoots a connected bullet, then the bullet turns into a parachute sprite floating you down gently. then just drop gun. the only problem is you might have to have 3 or more parachutes depending on your guys weight in game.

You can't connect bullets to the weapons that fire them.
