They got sucked into the void of nothingness. Please keep general chat to PMs . I can't enforce it, but it's only polite ...

Re: what is going on?
Programming junkies are gonna hate me for this, but...
Use a template.
I find modding is MUCH easier when someone has gone before you to do all the work...
so if you want to say, add a weapon to Cortex Command, copy/paste the stats for the AK47 or something into one of the text files (Rifles, Pistols, etc...) Rename everything for your new weapon.
Then change the stats to reflect your new gun.
"Point" the game to load your new sprites (Change the image file locations in the text file where it relates to your new gun)
Don't forget that all weapons need to have a magazine, which needs to have regular and tracer ammo. If you're making a bullet-type weapon, just use AK47 rounds and change their sharpness, etc. and then rename them. then "point" them to their magazine, and "point" the new magazine to your weapon. "Point" meaning direct CC to load your new files in their new directories by typing in their location in the text files.
Hope this helps...

iwillcontrolyou wrote: You mean templates like these?Whoa! I didn't know such things existed! I was just using the word "template" because I use the base CC files and tweak 'em to avoid pointless coding... This is where I sheepishly say, "Uh, yeah... templates like those."
