The 'fiend' (Latin classification: Canis Tiberius) is a horse-sized animal, resembling a dog, jackal, or wolf. The flesh is blackish or red, and the back is covered with pure Tiberium crystals, which fiends launch at enemies, causing severe damage as well as Tiberium poisoning.[1]

Fiends, like any animal, probably vary in size - particularly based on the host animal and any unpredictable mutations. So they could easily vary from 'very large dog' to 'horse' sizes without too much trouble.
