Re: Sprite Criticism they are certainly looking better, this one: download/file.php?id=29713 is certainly the best. but you still have a problem with form. whilst lighting is something you should focus on, form is the most important aspect. you should try to maintain both but form > lighting. also having the highlight one pixel from the top allows you to show cylindrical form:

Re: Sprite Criticism It may just be my personal preference but I think that sprites shaded in the manner you guys are doing usually look better with outlines.
