Melee Master works well, though heavily armored, not fast.

I have some suggestions too:

1. Airborne faction: assault crafts, floating gun platforms, attack baloons and flight-type robots

2. One single super brain actor with many lau based super powers. You play as him and him only, use your powers to fend of all enemies.

3. Cute-animals-with-guns faction (awwwwwWWWW...)

4. Ant-like weapon/faction, i really wanted that long ago

Mecha faction based off the Real Robot concept.
None of this MPAM, Oppressor or M.A.R.S. gigantic rape machines - mass produced, lightly armoured and fast.

Consider they are fighting infantry, they should rape them. If they are fighting mech to mech, then they work similar to real robots already(except for the giant drill).

I was thinking a sort of faction that would lose horrendously if the opponents fielded equal amounts of MPAMs, Opressors or M.A.R.S.'. However, the point is that they're cheaper, so you'd be able to field more.
Though I was also thinking fast as in ridiculous fast, to make for some proper dogfighting.
If you want an idea of how fast I'm thinking then watch a Gundam Seed episode where both fighters have Seed activated - it pace gets a pretty decent kick from an already very fast level.

I'd hit that. In fact, if someone made the actors I'd be happy to make all their weapons and tools for them. I'm srs. Giant lumbering mechanized infantry that go about as fast, with powerful weapons but little mobility. Chainguns and cannons spouting copious amounts of smoke, dropping entire metal plates when under heavy fire, exploding mildly but chunkily... Yeah, it'd be great.

steam punk faction.


not only must mine gold but must also generate energy to power war machines, and some weapons.

destroying generators results in a slow meltdown which eventually creates a large explosion.

possibly units with lots of backup systems(legs, arms and weapons) that pop out when one of the originals is destroyed

definately lots of room for original spriting.

(oh my i think im going to get started on this)

We need a faction that requires more than one unit to play.

With almost any faction you can order one unit with a big gun and kill enemies off by flying around the place. I think we need a faction with a bunch of actors that serve different purposes to form a whole.

Previous teamwork never really seemed to work like that. The AAL are a good example, the sniper can kill enemies on his own just as well as the gunner can on his own, together they killed enemies slightly better than they could on their own.

Maybe one unit that has explosives but nothing else, one unit that has a gun but nothing else, one digger, one jetpack, etc.

Could be both? Maybe combine that with the one that holds a giant computer (with 2 crates strapped to it) to make a proper brain unit? And the one with just the command relay makes a orbital strike caller?
