A probable solution to hard problem #2: make it so that the attachment part is real small while the gun envelops it. If you zoom, the gun should look like the end part of a bunkermodule, while the triple-shot-wounding attachment fills the empty space. Something like that. Just a small area near the muzzle, which is not so easily hit, maybe an opening of only a pixel...
Yeah, I was going to make the gun envelope the attachment, but I was being lazy and just made it the M16 instead of a custom gun design. The smaller the area of the attachment though, the less likely it is to work, due to your varying velocity and aiming. So 1 pixel is out of the question; others couldn't shoot, but neither could you. But it could be enveloped.
The casings could be another emitter attached to the wound burst emitter, offset to be in approximately the right place. The muzzle flash and bullet emitter can be offset to be in the right place too, they're a bit off right now.
If I sharpen the trigger and make the attachment harder to wound, the more consequential the gun's occasional failure would be (you would loose 25 health from shooting yourself instead of simply not firing)
Another problem with it is that it shoots opposite the direction you aim if you turn around as the burst is going, since AEmitters don't H-Flip with their parents.
I'll probably edit it again, and make it much less a M16A2, but more functional.
And maybe I'll also make a shotgun that uses Dragon's Breath shells.
