Re: Coalition Ship Spriting Contest
When I think about a Coalition dropship I think something along the lines of a jet-powered UH1, with the Olive Green and White colour scheme they have going on. It needs to be very military style or it just won't fit in. No crazy sharpish bits like the Bethesda, no smooth round bits like the Mk1 (Which is whitebot tech anyway). Needs to be angular, sleek but beefy, how ever oxymoronic that may sound. EDIT: Something like the Marines' dropship in Aliens is what I'm talking about But I'm no big fan of its asymmetry

That doesn't look asymmetrical at all. In fact, it is decidedly symmetrical. I would partake in this contest myself, but it would make they eyes of anyone who saw the sprite grow fifteen arms, grab fifteen guns, point fifteen guns toward said eyes, then pull fifteen triggers.

No, the Aliens dropship is not symmetrical, look at the wing things that fold out. The angle makes it not appear that way but if you've seen the movie or the model from another angle, you can see that the left wing is in front of the right.

Yeah well from here, it looks perfectly symmetrical. Get a picture of it sideways and make it easier on us all.

Re: Coalition Ship Spriting Contest
what I really want is someone to make a coalition rocket. They always seemed more like rocket people to me anyways.

Re: Coalition Ship Spriting Contest
yeah, you're right! that whole lightning-fast deployment, crude quick and dangerous.
*BAM* hatch opens 'GO GO GO' *ratatat* *rocket leaves*
Maybe a large rocket would be better, with big, chunky landing legs.

Re: Coalition Ship Spriting Contest
Hmm, something like a droprocket would be cool. It'd have legs that are large enough so that when it lands, the troops exit from the bottom, and a wide base.

Contest still running? I'm still not sure what to put on the empty green space. Perhaps some decal or something.

Re: Coalition Ship Spriting Contest
I really like the thrusters, the upper half is pretty good too, but I think it lacks detail. Also it looks kinda like a crate put on top of a coupla thrusters with a tip on top.
