Re: Spontaneous Dismemberment...
Try making your JointStrength and etc ZERO.
On nearly all variables, zero means infinite.

Re: Spontaneous Dismemberment...
So, huh... Nobody remembers the materials updates? There's a reason materials have all these other values.
GibImpulseLimitPerVolumeL, The amount of force per liter an actor can take before limbs are torn. GibWoundLimitPerVolumeL, The amount of wounds per liter an actor can take before breaking. Larger guys can take more punishment.
blah blah blah StructuralIntegrity = 20 DensityKGPerVolumeL = 1.0 GibImpulseLimitPerVolumeL = 15 // right here GibWoundLimitPerVolumeL = 0.1 // and here. ect ect ect
Tell me if that solves it.

Re: Spontaneous Dismemberment...
Thanatos you're really dumb.
Those control MATERIAL values. The only way that would affect an actor is if it were dead long enough to become terrain. GWL and GIL on Materials govern how hard it is to knock loose the PIXELS. Not the MOs; the dead terrain pixels.

Re: Spontaneous Dismemberment...
Grif, stop calling people dumb for no apparent reason. Just because you disagree with someone doesn't necessarily mean that they're wrong. If what material an actor is made of doesn't affect how it interacts with the environment, (besides just not making sense) then why do the .inis use materials when defining actors?
Actually keep calling people dumb, it turns me on.

Re: Spontaneous Dismemberment...
I put that on the wiki (a while ago), but when I tried it out I couldn't make an invincible man with the materials alone... so it somehow relies on both?
"The GibWound and GibImpulse limits are used for actors."

"The GibWound and GibImpulse limits are used for actors." For an actual live actor, GibImpulseLimit only matters for the torso/main body. For every other part, its JointStrength and JointStiffness. GibImpulseLimit, in those cases, just determines whether or not the part gibs AFTER its been blown off.

Re: Spontaneous Dismemberment...
Holy ♥♥♥♥, I just realized I can fix the MPAM's head problem! To this day, it could be easily busted off by craft or other heavy gibs.
