Re: The HMWIP Tau Mod (WH40K)
Hello, I understand that this is a work in progress but, I was wondering if you could help me out. After downloading and extracting the latest build (04-04-09) I cant seem to run CC, it crashes during the loading screen at "pre equiped trooper.ini reading line 1" with an error message of " Abortion in file .\System\Reader.ccp, line 531, because: Referring to an instance ('Pulse Rifle/singlefire') to copy from that hasent been defined! in TaU.rte/pre equiped troopers.ini at line 28! The last frame has been dumped to 'abortscreen.bmp' "

Re: The HMWIP Tau Mod (WH40K)
Thank you its working now, but I take it the pulse rifle isn’t working now? -EDIT- after some messing around with the code I discovered that the cause of the crash was that the names had a slash in them.

Pulse rifles have a 30 inch rainge (or was it 32), compare this to the height of a firewarrior model. most of our ranges are like that... *most*....

There was a more recent version a page or two or three back that had better range guns, ridiculously lower loading times etc. I'm going to release a newer one soon though... T_T 3 Assignments

Re: The HMWIP Tau Mod (WH40K) - [Alpha Released: 01/05/09]
Hey I know I'm new here but I've been working on this mod a bit (hope that's ok) I haven't changed the weapons coding at all but I have resized them and tweaked the actors slightly to something I feel is more realistic.
I've also added: IV15 Captain/Hero/Vet - Shas'vre Pathfinder Fire Warrior Captain - Shas'ui
I've given the fire warrior captain and pathfinders jetpacks as well because I really don't like playing with jump. It feels very limited and kind of ruins them, I can understand how you're going for authenticity too so they can easily be removed.
Well anyway, was wondering if you'd like to take a look at them, I love what you guys did so far (the guns are epic, spot on) I'd really appreciate being able to help you.

Sure. Welcome to the hive mind. One thing though, it'd be easier for me if you just uploaded individual .rtes, not entire release redos. Thanks.

So you want each actor in a separate .rte? Or do you want them in sets?

As long as you don't have much code that's exactly the same as the current compilation then it's fine. You choose. =)

I'm not sure how to go about not over writing the current tau as the Fire Warrior and Xv15 still have rather close coding. I guess you could just shift your version for a moment and replace it with this. http://files.filefront.com/Tau+Extrarte ... einfo.htmlOops, you'll need to change the name back to Tau not extra, sorry.
