The poll explains itself well enough. Some users have asked if I would run another mod contest now or in the near future and I want to gauge the interest level of the forum at large.

The rules would be as with the earlier contests. Single modder, sprites and sounds able to be gotten from other users (with pm'd permission), theme by previous winner, judged by community poll, anonymous submissions, etc etc. See the MC5 thread if you want the complete spiel.

When would this take place?

Maybe. Although it'd be the first real bit of modding I'd ever have done and It'd probably suck. But maybe.
Also, yeah all polls are broken at the moment. Probably because of the site having been eye-raped.

I dunno, Only if an interesting topic is chosen, the last one was bleh. Also, more time to do the contest, not everyone can work as efficienly as you guys, so some people need more time to do the same quality of work etc..

Too soon for me, I have five projects around then. But if this passes through I'd be able to lend a little spriting assistance if anyone asked.

Agreed with Numgun - Mod Primer is a big item. Actually I wanted to get around to one, time got a little swamped though. Point is there is someone out there keep this in mind

I'd maybe join, if only the 'theme' is good. Can we suggest making a mini-faction with a certain theme? More factions with medium-to-good sprites are needed here.

Non-space age theme (ie. Modern, WW2, Civil War (1641), Medieval, Cavemen)

Perhaps the poll could be rigged to add an extra point for a mission, just to stir things up a bit it's like rewarding effort, but you still can only win if it's quality. Sort of a bonus for doing both right, quality AND quantity.

I think that would be a awesome theme. I'd certainly like to see any one of those, except maybe modern...

Why not make the theme something original? We have tons of soldiers, robots, guns... and if I see another WWII mod I'm gonna puke all over my keyboard. They cluttered B14? B16? Whatever they were all over the place. Why not make it something broad enough to let people get creative on their own terms like:

EVERYTHING in the mod has to be "organic" themed.

That way we'd have a whole bunch of new and interesting things as opposed to the same old super robots or super soldiers with guns that we always get.

Just a thought...
