Post Weird Sprite Error
*SOLVED*

I'm making a mod and I'm adding a new actor, but when I spawn the actor he is using half of the sprites he is supposed too and half of another actor's sprites. The limbs that are wrong are the feet and helmet. I tried renaming the sprites and they still aren't working. I was wonder what I can do to fix this.

Thanks,
bamacowboy5

Load your mod folder up so people can check your ini file

It sounds like you have the wrong file paths for your sprites.

Here it is, it is in the actor folder called Scout.

Your file paths seem to be in order and the actor seems to look fine in-game.

What operating system are you running and where is CC installed?

I had a similar error running windows 7 where no matter what I did, the sprites the game was using were older sprites that I had modified, deleted, and that weren't even there. I think this has to do with how Windows installs files, and backs up important files like things you could find in the Program Files folder.

Upon re-installing CC in My Documents, or anywhere really less important than Program Files, everything worked fine, even after modifying sprites and such.

Im running Windows 7 64-Bit and CC is installed in Program Files (x86). Do you think that this is what is causing this error?

There's a good chance, because I ran the mod in my CC, and everything seemed to check out fine. Try installing CC in My Documents, and put your mod in there and see if that works. If it does work, I woud recommend using CC out of there from now on.

You don't have to deal with those annoying "You need permission blah blah blah.." notifications either :P

I re-installed CC to my desktop and it still didn't work, I'm going to try it in My Documents now.

When you defined the actors head, you attached the Soldier Helmet, not the Scout Helmet, and when you defined the legs, you attached the Soldier Feet, not the Scout Feet. Not too sure what the problem with the arms is, because the code there looks fine.

Here's the rte with the properly referenced parts.

Thank you! I thought the arms were wrong but I guess not, but I feel like an idiot because I checked that 3 times to see if I did anything wrong. Again, thank you.
