Post Spriting Problems in Windows 7
So, I've been trying to fix a sprite that's not in the palette. I know when I would sprite for CC in XP, everything worked fine but now in windows 7 it's not really working well. I've saved the file as a 256 color bitmap, I've tried pasting the image in palette and saving afterwards and nothing seems to be working. I wouldn't just want someone to fix it for me for future mods, so could someone tell me how to go about this? I'm using Paint to make my spites.

Are you using W7's paint? W7's paint does not keep images in palette, so you'd have to either get a copy of the XP paint and go about it as you have been, or take a look around for a tutorial on how to achieve the same effect in a different program.
There's a big list of helpful modding tutorials and topics here, and I recommend you try my Gimp tutorial as I think it's the only one left with pictures.
