Gun error problems!
I seem to have a problem with one of the guns i have recently made which crashes when it loads, yet it doesn't display a error message, it just said it has stopped working, and its not cortex command itself, when i remove the mod it works fine yet when i put the mod in it crashes with no error line like *-* rte aborted it just crashes with no reason!, and no preset names are the same, i checked, any help would be taken thanks! And my tabbing is 100% correct.

Re: Gun error problems!
Does anything buyable in the mod have a word in its presetname over 11 characters long?

Re: Gun error problems!
You guys both ninja'd me to it, but to reiterate:
When exactly is it crashing? If it's the buy menu then it's got too many letters in the PresetName.
I'm assuming that isn't the case, and if so then you're probably exceeding CC's capabilities in one of the variables. Put them at regular values, one by one, then change it back and move on to the next one. Do this 'till it stops crashing.
Unless, of course you made two or more errors, in which case you'll need to upload it so we can take a peek.

Re: Gun error problems!
I coppied/ made a template straight from the coalition sniper rifle, changed the sprite + some offsets, but i didn't play with any variables! It crashes just before the main menu loads!
I have gone over this gun for 3 hours and can still not find the problem! the barret 50.cal i made was ok but i changed the default offsets to the new and correct ones and now its faulty, yet the offsets have only been changed by 1 pixel each! Any help?

Yeah, I don't think we'll be able to help unless you upload it. I've got no ideas of what might be wrong based on your explanation.

Re: Gun error problems!
Sorry to ask, but do you need all of the gun to diagnose it? Like the sprites index and sounds or will the ini be enough to solve it?

Re: Gun error problems!
Probably just the .ini. I'm petty sure it isn't any of your other files that are the problem.

Re: Gun error problems!
AddToGroup = Sniper pack has two tabs, it should only have one.
Also, Barrett has two 'T's, and capitalization of objects' names makes your coding look nicer. And the period in caliber goes before the number. And naming the gun by model would look better than using the general, layman's term. (Barrett M82, M107, or whatever model it is you're emulating) So if you named it Barrett M82, and said it was .50 caliber in the description, that would look far better. But I digress, you came for functional repair, not cosmetic criticism, so I guess I'll give it a rest...

Re: Gun error problems!
Thanks for solving the problem, and i'll change the cosmetics of the gun now, Seriously thanks! that problem was eating at be for 5 hours! Yet my offsets seem a bit dodgy as when he holds the weapon with no sharp aim he holds the gun correctly 2 handed where i wanted him to. Yet when he sharp aims his support arm just lets go of the gun. Any help?

Re: Gun error problems!
His second arm cannot reach the support position so he gives up trying. Make the arms reach longer, or make the support position closer to his shoulder.
