An escape pod for the brain would be great.

I'm hard at work on the bacta tank idea.
Right now I have a script that heals wounds but it drops your inventory and doesn't charge you so I will fix that soon.
I'm also looking at how to add it to the storage crate so you get healed inside.

As for a escape pod, I like the idea but I have several concerns about it.
one being if you return your only brain don't you lose? Two if I leave a opening for escape isn't that a major weakness that the enemy can exploit? Lastly ships are prone to killing their own team.

I will post a new base version soon, I am also renaming it hotel 23. Cake for whoever gets the reference.

About the escape pods, I like the idea, but in cortex you can't skip the FAIL,
if you flee from your main-well-equipped-and-well-defended bunker, you'll land into some enemy nest...

If you need you help spriting those bacta's lemme know.

an alternitive to the escape pod, might be making the brain a ACrab with pinstrength and nill legs.
It could have a turret that uses a weak repeller, so small arms are blocked (till repeller ammo runs out) and larger calliber things will still hit.

-Naxete I think I will take you up on that :p
Also I will try vary hard to get up early and load the latest version before work (try)

@Sims-Doc for a base this small a lift just might not be practical so i think i will put that on the back burner for now. I have considered the self destruct idea for the base, I may make that but right now I have many other features I'm working on.

***updated the base, you can find the latest version on the first post.
there are still a few problems. Sorry no new pictures of it yet
-roof is made of test and that is WAY too strong, i will make a custom mat for that and be nerfing it (it held up to MaximumDudes nukes)
-the middle platform on the third level confuses the enemy (they end up pacing the floor under it) I will experiment with removing it and see what happens
-storage crates are a place holder for the bacta tanks (Nax could you send me a folder with those awesome sprites in it?)
-doors and crates still use references to vanilla content (sorry been busy)

Nax here's a vary rough mock up of the bacta tank script (using a edited version of the recaller) **Oops forgot to actually add the file sorry i'm at work now

One more thing, I noticed today 18 people had downloaded this but to date not one person has told me how it is preforming in game. I could really use that input to help make this better so if you downloaded this please let me know how its working for you.

Not me, I'm waiting the bacta version to help you in that, but you've forgot to add it :P
Also, I didn't though about it, but some jelly fluids coming out from tank when opens would add a lot of realism...
Like those juicy eggs in matrix-human-nest.

If you do the base self-destruct, consider making up a Lua bit so that it explodes only after the brain dies or escapes.

Edit, unless you are going to have the brain be stationary, then just have it blow up about five seconds after it gibs- kind of like that tactical explosive rocket that numgun made, you know?

No lua needed, I could just make the brain Gib a nuke.

Nax I could make it spawn some slime with the actor. I just need to make it disappear so it doesn't pile up.

why don't you make that slime a very low-weight-resistance, the actor will clean their own mess just walking out.

Use the old power systems mod, put the generator in the Basement and have it power the doors.

Would redefine the word Uber Base.

I read up on that (power systems) it sounds interesting. Might be worth adding.

I think I'm going to just change a few of the mats, get my doors to work and call this done.

I will still try to get the bacta tank to work, but that will not be included with this mod for now.
Dragon PMed me some feedback, I think based on what he said that this should evolve into a mission.

Someone else also metioned that this would go well with a zombie mission, so I think I will try my hand at mission making.
