How to capture sounds from a game
Hello to you peoples.
I need help with, as the topic suggests, getting the sounds from a web game into a .ogg or .wav file. Are there any programs the community knows of that can do this for me?
Thank you very much,
Joe

Re: How to capture sounds from a game
I can think of 4 ways to get the sound.
1. Locate the actual sound files, with or without the help of another program, and extract the sounds.
2. Use a program to record the sound in-game.
3. Decompile the game, and then take the sound files.
4. Contact the maker of the game and ask for the sounds.
I don't know any good programs for any of the options (except the fourth, I would recomend GMail, though it isn't really a program), but you could probably google something up.

Use windows's built in recorder and record from stereo mix

Audacity has some nice tools that can help with removing some background noise in the game. Of course, it can record the sound too. It's free, and very handy for audio editing in general.
If you just need to record, and not edit or anything, doing as p3lb0x advised will get the job done.

I recommend Audacity too as it can also convert the sounds and offers more detailed editing overall.

I also recommend Audacity, I used it when tweaking the soundtrack of CC.
