I have a Mac. Macs don't have notepad. What if the modder doesn't either? And even if he did, how can you guarantee he'll know how to do that?

He admitted he just named his mod Epic Win.rte, and didn't think his mod was an epic win. My first mod was not "great" at all; it was just a godly pistol from a tutorial. I named the mod I put it in Epic.rte. It wasn't an epic mod. But who cares? I couldn't think of a decent name, so I named it that. And keep in mind, I didn't connect Epic.rte to being epic at all.

Either way, would you feel good about your hard work if someone said that about one of your mods?

I concede that point actually. Though it's entirely possible there is a mac based alternative with a similar function.

I'd personally take the comment as being playful. I'd take it as a joke and move on. Personally, I think it was taken a bit too seriously.

On the subject of the mod itself, I don't really think that resprites are intrinsically bad in themselves, and this mod hass relatively higher quality than some other resprites.

I would like to point out at this point a recolour of sprites is a resprite - as a picture is is a load of dots pixels. Respriting it is changing the arranagement of the pixels. Not being rude or anything, but didn't I do that?

I'm having a problem with the mod right now, so it could be a while before I release the next version.

Keep on responding, even if it disintegrates into an argument. It's nice to know I got people thinking about something.

Respriting is remaking the pixel clusters alltogether into something resembling the sprite one had at the start, not what color the pixels are.

*Facepalm* Im so mean. I cant provide any other ways in my mind to help something. Well one thing that you may improve is to maybe take on the origional ideas instead of already implimented ones.
