Post Delay before attack?..
I have dual pistols but i want them to fire one after the other, but usually they fire at the same time. How do I add a wait time on one of the pistols?.

I was thinking that but I'm not sure what the code would be for that..

edit: and before the start of the first shot would make it better instead of each shot..

Take a look at the Gatling gun it has a delay. I would look it up for you but I'm currently at work. (I'm early so I'm playing on the internet till my shift starts)

Have the offhand gun have a wind up delay. Look at the Coalition Gatling Gun for an example. Once it's "up to speed" the gun will fire at a normal rate, but there'll still be a delay from one shot to the next.

This is a really cool idea I think I will use it on my duel pistols too.

oh right... I completely forgot about the Gatling gun. Thanks salt & Grif.

Edit: Alright found the line of code in-case anyone else wants it.

ActivationDelay = 1000(or whatever value you want)

I've sometimes done this manually by diving forward (thus hiding the offhand weapon) and firing with my main weapon, then springing up and using both. Mixed results and kind of messy, so .ini or Lua code would probably be much more reliable.

What about just a tiny bit lower rate of fire? This is a pistol, so windup is a bad idea.

yes, but if you lower the rate of fire then your off-hand weapon reloads while your main has 5 more shots left when it's suppose to be the same pistol...

Wouldn't windup only work if the gun was fully automatic? My idea is to have the regular round of the offhand pistol fire an invisible no damage round and the tracer is the actual round. Then set the firerate twice that of the normal pistol with twice the rounds and the round to tracer ratio to 1. But then again this would only work if both pistols had relatively low firerates. Either one of these suggestions would work if the pistols are fully automatic but the windup is the easiest option.

windup is in the annihilator.

Can you make the pistol fire purely by Lua? Make it bound to Fire and have a small delay?

Jesus christ people are you seriously obsessing over this that much

Use the ini variable that's there that will accomplish what you're trying to do and get the hell over it

If you're firing one shot at a time then who cares if it's both pistols at once or just one of them, and if you're holding the fire key then windup works fine.
