and AAL sprites have always been kinda average, however huge the scale might be.
i like the amour sprites though, pretty good shading.

Hi,

Looking good so far. Given that X-Com armor is kind of cylindrical, it actually pretty close to the source. I've got a bunch of X-Com sprites and UFO-pedia images if you need more source material as well as several sound effect compilations that could be broken down into individual sound effects if desired. Just holler, if you are interested.

Well thanks, for the moment I go on ufopaedia for the original sprites and I have a version of XCom to get the sounds (which are awful btw  )
For the guy, I don't like the legs so I will try to make them again, more in the arms style, it's to say more cloth/tissue than armour.

But the code for the actors is far too difficult for the moment (blood, position for body parts, gibs...) so i tried to go for the weapons first, and being able to see them in game is quite "inspirational" (to myself of course).

/me is proud

Well, considering I just changed names, prices and firing rates from existing weapons, I don't think it's worth a DL link. (If you wan't to use the sprites of course I can upload them)

This much time for this little pixels....

Thanks for the comments, bye.

(and for the eyebrows that's because he colors his hair of course :-P )

I like the actor and the gun, they have a decent amount of detail in them, and don't look like crap. the actor could use some more color and details on the clothes though, because right now, it looks like he's in a unitard or some other hideous body-suit. Also mind you i've never even looked at XCom so I don't know if that's how its supposed to look.

As for that rocket thing..... details details details, it looks like you put a stealth bomber and something you can buy in an adult store in a blender. Now if thats what you where aiming for, then its well made for that. I mean, its actually shaded and stuff... just a bad design for the rocket.

and as a first mod, this is... this is fantastic. Are you sure you haven't been making CC sprites for the past year?

The Skyranger should be more like a dropship/VTOL really.

That plane sprite is pretty terrible, the actors look rather nice though

These sprites are better than most PRO modders sprites! keep it up!

lafe you do not count as a pro modder so you can pretty much can that

while the sprites are good comparing them to your own is like comparing uwe boll to a turd sandwich

sure, one looks better

but one's still uwe boll

Goddamnit Grif, you keep ninjaing me, sort of.

Anyway, as for the mod, I'm just going to reiterate what everyone else has said. The actors and weapons are good, the craft isn't so good. It's not got enough texture to it, it's just one big gradient in shades of grey on top of a shape. But yeah, for a beginner in modding, this is high quality.

It's nice but you should work on the body a bit more, it looks very resprited after a little while.
